what I'm asking: can this game be played from start to finish without using patches or mods? and if the answer to that is "no", then what patches and/or mods should I use? but of course there's only so much a man can tolerate. Usually I just play vanilla, bugs and rough edges don't scare me. nonetheless I'm well aware that said reputation mostly has to do with bugs, lots of bugs.
